Our editorial team ranks products based on merit — rewards rate, fee transparency, credit bureau reporting, landlord acceptance, and overall value to a real renter. We do not let commission rates determine our rankings. If a product is bad, we will say so even if it has a generous affiliate program. If a product is good, we will recommend it even if we earn nothing from doing so.
