Articles under the Editorial Team byline are produced by multiple contributors including our senior personal finance editor, housing and credit editor, and outside fact-checkers. We use this byline when no single author is primarily responsible for a piece — most often on comparison articles, service roundups, and news updates where multiple people contributed research.
Our editorial process for every article:
- Research first. Every claim about a fee, reward rate, or service policy is sourced from the issuer’s or service’s own current terms, not from third-party summaries.
- Math verification. Every break-even calculation is independently re-checked before publication.
- Honest counter-examples. Every strategy article must include at least one clear scenario where the strategy does NOT work.
- Disclosure. Affiliate relationships are disclosed on every page and in each relevant article.
- Regular updates. Articles are reviewed at least quarterly or whenever we learn a material term has changed.
